Breakthrough Wellness Ministry - From Mercury Poisoning To A Mission Of Wellness
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
A healthy lifestyle can still leave you facing disease and illness if you are fighting the wrong battle. We sit down with Jeanne from Breakthrough Wellness Ministries, and her story gets real fast: losing her dad suddenly to heart failure, watching her mom face early onset dementia, and being told it was all genetic. Instead of accepting that verdict, she poured herself into learning all she could about natural health, detoxification, and what actually drives chronic disease beneath the surface.
We talk about the three root causes Jeanne's research keeps coming back to: toxins (including heavy metals), nutrient deficiencies, and oxidative stress that fuels inflammation. If you have ever wondered why you are doing all the right things and still feel off, this conversation will give you new questions to ask and practical next steps to consider.
The second half goes deeper into what “good health” really means. Jeanne frames wellness as body, mind, and spirit, and she shares how faith, a church family, and mentors carried her through a season of single motherhood, financial collapse, and profound stress. We also unpack her focus on glutathione, the “master antioxidant” she describes as central to cellular protection and detox support, and why she believes a true wellness breakthrough must work at the cellular level.
Listen, share this with someone who needs hope and clarity, and then subscribe and leave us a review so more people can find the show. What part of Jeanne’s story hit closest to home for you?

Welcome And Meet Jeanne
BrianAll right. Well, welcome back to the Bureau Beach Podcast. I'm Brian.
ShawnaAnd I'm Shauna.
BrianAnd today we are sitting here with Jeannie, right? Okay. I was like, I got looking at the name. I'm like, wait a minute. I got to remember how to say this. I'm not great with names, Jeannie. So but we're sitting here with Jeannie from the Breakthrough Wellness Missions. Is that correct? Ministries. Ministries. Ministries.
ShawnaI knew you were not going to be able to read that handwriting.
BrianIt's my handwriting. I can't even read it. See? This is why I type. Well, we're so excited to have you on the podcast today.
SPEAKER_00Thank you so much, Brian and Shauna. Yeah, so glad to have you here.
BrianSo we love to get to know the person behind the business first. So I would love for you to take some time and tell us a little bit about you.
SPEAKER_00Oh, thank you so much. Um well, I I just had a birthday. Oh, it's a great seven birthday. A few days ago, I just hit my 57th and I um was raised in in Philadelphia, right outside of Philadelphia in the suburbs area. Oh, nice. And um I I really liked having the seasons. It was really nice. I have three brothers. Um, but one of the things that really transpired that changed the whole direction of my life was when I was 21, uh, my dad suddenly died with a heart failure. And um, he was on meds and very healthy person. I mean, we lived out in the suburbs, had a garden, made our own food, um, and so forth. And at the same time, my mom was 58 and she was diagnosed with early onset dementia. So that's what really shaped my life from I was in the financial industry, and um the doctors told me it was genetic. So it really um, I believed that lie for the first, you know, maybe a few years. And then I did a total turnaround and decided to go on a different path and find ways to prevent and reverse disease.
BrianWow.
Boats, Florida, And Starting Over
BrianWow, you got a lot there for us to unpack. So this is gonna be good. All right, let's go back to the four seasons first.
ShawnaYou're going all the way back.
BrianI'm going all the way back. Yes. I'm like, so I'm making some notes. So let's go back to the four seasons first because now you're in Florida, which I think we only have two seasons. Depends on how you define that season. Yeah, hot and hotter. That's right. So are there any seasons that you miss?
SPEAKER_00Uh no, that's why I moved to Florida actually in my early 20s. That's another whole story in itself. Um, I bought my first boat at 21, and I used to go down the New Jersey shore and go boating and fishing and anything to do with water. I'm total island girl at heart, which none of my family is. So I was definitely what people might call the black sheep. And um, so I packed up my boat and I paid a couple of guys to trailer it. And my first landing, which was over 30 years ago, um, my first landing was in Jupiter, Florida. And I kept the uh boat in North Palm Beach. Um, and then I had it got a job and worked in the financial industry for a little bit, and then I went, um, did a change of career to the Florida College of Natural Health. And that's when I started my career over 30 years ago.
ShawnaWow.
BrianSo a boat girl. Okay. Jupiter, like actually Jupiter's gorgeous.
ShawnaI want to be a I want to be a boat girl and an island girl.
BrianWhat are okay? So, what are some of your favorite islands that you've been to? Is it just Florida Islands or have you been islands in different parts of the world?
SPEAKER_00There you go. There's a good question. Um, since we don't know each other at all. And so you're really gonna find out a lot about me.
BrianSo um This is what we're digging for.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so my career started in Florida, and um, I was a medical massage therapist and aesthetician. And basically, I even went a little while without a car. If I couldn't boat there, I didn't go. Oh, I did spend time.
BrianYou don't go. I like that.
SPEAKER_00Um, my my practice was in Fort Lauderdale and South Beach, so on in at the um marina, and then I went on to live in Marathon in the Keys. Um, but my son and I just got back um less than a year ago to Florida. We were in Hawaii for 15 years. Wow. So I am totally an island girl, and we we spent six years on the big island in Kona and then nine years in Honolulu, and it was a hard uh choice to leave and come back to Florida. Yeah, so okay.
Hawaii, Aloha, And Healing Energy
BrianSo we've never been, I've never been to Hawaii, right? I have not. So tell us the difference between when you do the comparison and be nice to Florida still. No, but no, no, no, be honest. What is the difference between Hawaii and Hawaii and Florida?
SPEAKER_00Well, that is a really good question. Uh when I left Florida to go to Hawaii, I was in a very uh traumatic uh situation of losing everything and fighting for custody. I was a single mom at 40. Um so um I had to, I felt like I had to get away from here because I had built up uh really 18 years a wellness center, and um then my whole life took a turn. So uh it's is hard to say. I always pictured my place in Fort Lauderdale being my retirement, my home base, and to travel the world because I love to travel. And I ended up on the big island. So the first few years um was still very traumatic, but it's a hard place um to not be happy because it's just absolutely gorge gorgeous. But I do remember now that I think about it, my son was one and we got off the plane in Kona, and I did feel this overwhelming sense of what they call Hawaiians call aloha. It was just God's breath. It means hello, goodbye, I love you. You know, it means a lot of things. And I the air was different, the energy was different, and the big island is definitely the place for healing, and it was for me. So um the the beaches are there is nothing like it in the world. I've been to many beaches. I'm a I love to travel, I'm a former scuba diver and um I like to fish and I like to do all these things, and but Hawaii, I spent a lot of time hiking and just exploring the beaches. I mean, it's the energy is so different than Florida. Um, one of the first things I noticed was nobody had air conditioned. And I was like, how do you survive without air conditioning? But nobody needs air conditioned. All the windows are open, you get a breeze, you can see the ocean just about anywhere you are when you travel around and you drive around. Um, and then the people at first, um the uh I was told lose your east coast attitude. I actually had that. And I had already been in Florida for 18 years, so I didn't really think I had that Northeast kind of attitude anymore. But um I had heard that people don't even let you in for about three years in Hawaii because most people can't make it in Hawaii. And so um I was there to stay and I really embrace the local culture and the people and their ways. So I always like to fit in to their customs and their um energy instead of bringing my own old East Coast attitude kind of thing. Yeah.
ShawnaWow. Oh, and you're so sweet and kind. So it's it's it just shows a big uh difference in culture if they think you have an attitude, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00Like well, just the way you talk sometimes. That's true.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Can you hear that northeastern accent anymore? I don't hear it.
BrianI don't hear it hardly any accent. And if I try to make and do an accent, it always comes off like what like a Russian-British or something like that.
ShawnaWell, it's it's a strange mix.
BrianYeah, I can't even do an accent. So the okay, so you also said that you do uh scuba diving. Have you done any scuba diving in the Florida area here? Like where some of these shipwrecks, like I I was like, we were just talking about what they just did at 4th of July, you know, taking the kayaks out to the old shipwreck. I don't know if you've done anything like that around here.
SPEAKER_00Well, when I first moved to Florida over 30 years ago and I had a boat, I I kind of always lived on the canal. So if I didn't have a place for my boat, then it wasn't for me. I used to go scuba diving right off my boat. I did a lot of the keys, um, a lot of destination travel, just a few times in Hawaii, actually. But um I used to just go right to the reef, but I was down in Fort Lauderdale in Miami in the Keys is where I mostly live. So most of my scuba diving would have been there and in the keys.
BrianOkay. So nice. Nice. I know Shauna used to scuba dive. I mean I didn't yes, I used to scuba dive too.
SPEAKER_00Oh yay. I I have I guess I'm still certified. Are you? Yeah, but I haven't done it in a while.
ShawnaOh, yeah. I lost my certification. Um I let it expire, and then I wasn't really that interested in renewing it. Like I don't want to be in charge of my own equipment, so it's just not a good idea.
BrianYeah.
ShawnaYeah.
Losing Parents And Rethinking Genetics
BrianSo okay. So let's go back a little bit more to your story. You're talking about your your dad and your mom. Uh I'm guessing that that probably influenced like probably where you are today. Do you mind to share a little bit about that? Or does that?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it's uh it's actually 100%. Um it it brought me to my purpose, which uh when I started the health healthcare path, I didn't really know anything that I know today. Uh I started out being able to I uh do medical massage and rehabilitation, neuromuscular, and actually on my center, we we took health insurance. So I had a lot of referrals from chiropractors or orthopedic surgeons and stuff, and even cosmetic surgeons for after uh surgery, lymph and pushing the lymph. Um, and one of the things that I can, oh, I can I can share this. Uh when I was in massage and skincare, I I'm an aesthetician as well. And I was doing a presentation. I was introduced to nutrition. This is I'm going back about 28 years ago now. And uh I was introduced to nutrition and detoxification and cleansing. So I was doing a presentation in Fort Lauderdale with a cosmetic surgeon that I knew. Um, he was taking the fat loss and the visceral fat and what that meant. And I took the skincare part, like healthy skin comes from within. And one of the things um I had said was there is really three root causes, main major root cause of all disease, all health conditions. And
Heavy Metals, Testing, And Chelation
SPEAKER_00this is known. And I was just thinking earlier today, why aren't doctors sharing this? Or do they not know it, or do they just, I don't know, understand this? Because I've known this for 30 years and no one's talking about it. And then when I post a question, even to people I've I've taught, they can't seem to answer it. But toxins, toxins in the air, the water, the food, heavy metals. Then we have uh nutrient deficiencies, because if your body's so toxic, the nutrients, no matter how much you supplement or eat healthy foods or eat raw and stuff, it can't get through this toxic barrier. And then of course, oxidative stress. And that's what causes cancer. And that's what those toxins in oxidation lead to inflammation, which every disease class is. So I was doing this talk, and a gentleman came up to me and said, Oh, does this life, this cleansing system, does that detox from heavy metals and chelate? And I hadn't really heard about that word yet and what that meant. He gave me, he gave me his card and he was a doctor that specialized in NMD, specialized in chelation therapy. So I went into his office to learn more, and then he showed me this video. And when he showed me this video, I started to cry because in the video it says heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, cancer, diabetes, every single disease class is because of heavy metal toxins, aluminum, mercury, arsenic, lead. And I was like, oh, well, how how do I test for that? And he had said, No, remember, this is over about 28 years ago. Okay, so he said, Well, you'll have to take a test to uh see it's a urine-provoked urine test, and you can see the metals through the urine. So I said, Oh, okay, well, I better do that because when I was 21, uh that's now 36 years ago, I lost both my parents. And I never had mentors, I never had I had, you know, you see people enjoy their parents when they get older, and and I never had that. So um I took the test and short while after the doctor called me back and said, you need to come into the office right away. You're seven pages off the chart with mercury poisoning. And I thought, I'm like 32 or something at that at the time. And I thought, well, how the heck would I have mercury poisoning? And he says, back then, he goes, Well, it could be genetic. And I don't know if they had genetic tests back then, but I didn't take any, uh, nor uh do I believe maybe I will ever take a genetic test. Um, but I do know that there is genetic variants. Um, I had studied that uh the APOE4 and the MTH4, all these variants, genetic variants block your body from producing its own glutathione, which is the chelator of heavy metals inside the cell. So I didn't know that back then. And I thought, well, I could have a genetic condition, a variant, um, from because my mom died with Alzheimer's and my dad's passed away too from heart failure, mysteriously, like out of nowhere. So um what else? And he says, Well, have you had any dental work? And I was like, Oh, oh, well, a year ago, year prior, I had the amalgams removed for composite just because I wanted white teeth, you know? I only had like two or three at the time. And he says, Oh, that's it, that's it. I go, well, what am I supposed to do? And he says, Well, chelation therapy. You sit there with an IV three times a week, $1,500 a month. And I was like, What? I go, no, no, that's not an option for me. I work, I'm self-employed, I own and operate my own business. I don't have the time, I don't have the money for that. And I go, I don't know. I was I became in denial. And then being the researcher I am, people say stuff, and then I have to research to the nines. Well, we didn't have, you know, 28 years ago Chat GBT, and like I didn't know how to Google stuff, and I don't I didn't go to the library. So I just had to ask people I know. So I asked um some scientists that I knew and biochemists, and I was like, I this is my situation. What do I do? Oh, okay, do chlorella, do spirulina, do you know, detox. You know, I've been fasting, cleansing two days a week. I went organic, I changed all my food to like plant-based and you know, uh um free range or grass-fed, you know, uh um foods. And that I changed everything, everything. Like I don't have bleach in my house, everything was natural, down to the cotton of where. I mean, I went insane. And I and I know just from being in the industry, you have to give everything three months, 90 days for anything to really set in. I I got retested 90 days later, it didn't move. My levels did not move. And I said, Well, well, well, you know, what else do you have? I'm not gonna sit there for 45 minutes with an IV like a cancer patient, because the only people I knew that did IVs were like, you know, people like cancer or something, you know. I didn't know um uh anything like that. So it was like not an option. I didn't like taking pills. I didn't even take vitamins in capsule forms, I never believed in that either. So um he said, Well, I have uh oral chelation, it was seven different pills, it was $350 a month. I did that for three months. I said, I couldn't do that. I have no idea what was in it, you know. Today I don't remember. Um, but I got retested and he said, in 15 years, I've never seen anybody chelate the heavy metals that fast. And I was still high, but I was in with it, I wasn't seven pages off the chart. So that totally turned around my entire life. Wow.
ShawnaIt's just amazing. And because, you know, now a lot of the health advice we get is kind of social media and you know, influencers really. And a lot of what comes up for me is what you said before. Detox, clean up your diet, it's gonna fix all of that stuff. And then, but if it's a heavy metal issue, that's not gonna be enough. So that's really your story really shows that. That's really interesting to me.
BrianYeah. I mean, Sean knows she's done a lot of research on health stuff. So I usually everything that I'm doing is she's like, that's not good.
unknownNo, that's not true.
ShawnaNo, I am very, very interested in wellness. So I was so excited to talk to you. But I wouldn't say I'm very knowledgeable about a lot of different aspects. So I'm really thankful that you're telling us so many good details about your story. And thank you for, I'm sure that's vulnerable to talk about, you know, your parents and things like that. So thank you for sharing that with us.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, absolutely. I think this message needs to get out more. And that's why I was excited to um be offered this opportunity to do this podcast, because this is what I need to eventually be a book or something. Um, we do have to take responsibility for own health and not rely on the doctor. Back in the day, the doctors um would were fired if you were sick. The doctors were there to keep you well in Chinese medicine and herbal medicine. Really? Oh, yeah. Your doctor kept you well. Like there was no, if you had a disease, that was a doctor's fault, it wasn't yours. So now we uh that's not the case with the industry that we're in. So you really do need to take responsibility. And uh um, I remember um before I brought I I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, I I remember um thinking that this industry that I that I'm in, the health and wellness injury, was something I learned, you know, over the years, the decades, um, and I had personal experience. Like I would go to the beach and with one of my favorite places, um, and just watch people walk by. And I I watch people, I look at their skin, I look at their eyes, I look at their posture. And I for some reason thought that I could tell what disease they had or were gonna have, but just by looking at them, mainly because I thought I learned it in aesthetics. Um, and I already know that everything in aesthetics, um, breakouts, you know, um circles under the eyes and um premature aging in your skin is definitely a reflection, what comes in. I mean, just look at skin cancer in general. They say that's the fastest spreading, most dangerous skin cancer to have, right? Well, by the time it shows up on your skin, you've been dealing with this issue for decades, decades, is oxidation. And uh, I thought that it was something I learned. Then I realized it was a gift. It was a gift from God. I mean, not everybody, even in my profession, can look at somebody and tell what's uh, you know, unless they're really trained in looking at the eyes and you can tell it, you know, if there's jaundice that you could just look at their skin and see the dehydration. I mean, part of the issues people have is dehydration and they don't even know it because drinking water isn't enough to hydrate. You need the salts, you need other things too, and cofactors.
Why Breakthrough Wellness Became Ministry
BrianThat's good. So, okay, so I want to kind of break down because I think this is a good time to kind of transition to have you so your business is called breakthrough wellness ministries. Now I got it right, right? So explain to me the concept of breakthrough wellness. What does that mean to you?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's a thank you for asking that. Um, and this is new. I mean, this isn't even a year old. When I um left Hawaii to come back to Florida, which is something I don't generally do. I just didn't go back to Fort Lauderdale, so it's okay. I don't like to go backwards. I always like to move forward. Um, and I never thought I would come back here. Um, but making this leap of faith that I felt like I was led to, I had been thinking about turning my business into a real ministry and what that would mean to me. Well, 30 years in this industry, I feel that I actually give away more than I actually earn all the time, whether it's education, um, time and listening. I truly, truly, truly want to help people prevent and reverse disease. No matter how hard I try to get out of the industry, which I got really frustrated when I was in Hawaii at one time, and I went into cryptocurrency. I did that for about three years. Just I wanted a 180 because I was so tired and frustrated um before COVID hit. I Was frustrated to watch people decline and I had the answers. And it was so simple, and I had the answers. So I feel that when you do a ministry, it's all for God's glory. God gave me these gifts to begin with. I realized this wasn't something I learned. I didn't grow up going to college and go to school. I went to school for finance and business administration. I didn't, I never, I like money, you know, cryptocurrency, whatever, investments. I never thought I'd be in the health industry. And so I know that that was the divine uh hand. And then just the progression of going through massage and skincare, just owning and operating a small little center in in uh Fort Lauderdale, and then how that led to serious disease and surgeries and health. And I just became this student and I wanted to know more. And more importantly, I wanted to know the truth. So when I research, I don't believe everything I just hear. And then four years ago, April 1st, just over four years ago, my friend from Canada who's in the health and wellness beauty industry said, I found something. And I said, What do you mean you found something? Now, granted, we're in the same company, a nutraceutical manufacturing, I was doing at the time online while raising my son, working from home. I I had closed the practice when when my son was obviously born. So that was 18 years ago I had closed the practice. So um, when four years ago, when my friend said I found something, I knew I had to be in health and wellness. That's all I cared about. Yeah. And she goes, I can't explain it. You just have to see it. So said, Okay, well, send me the and it was a video podcast. Um, I missed it live. It was 30 minutes. And just like I did 30 years prior, I saw the founder of our company speak about the biggest breakthrough he's ever discovered in his lifetime. Uh, he is also a best-selling author of Christian books. Um, he's known as the breakthrough billion-dollar business builder and co-founder of American Telecasts, which is the first company in infomercial history. And um, when he saw that, I literally started to cry because I've only had two prayers since becoming a single mom. And one of them was to find a business that I could do from home and raise my son that will save people's lives. Something bigger and better that's never existed before. And that was a very specific prayer. And I knew right then that that that prayer was answered, that this was big. I I I did do my due diligence in research, but at that moment I just knew that this was it. And I just said, How do I how do I become a part of this?
BrianWow. That's pretty powerful. Like for anybody that might be listening and thinking, like, like you had your prayers were answered right there at that that second that you to be able to have like your purpose is to be able to be home with your child, to raise your child, and then also to help save lives. What a beautiful thing to see that come to fruition. Is that the right word? It is good job, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, and that was right in the middle of COVID, too. It was right in the beginning of COVID when that was going on too. Goodness gracious.
BrianYeah, I love like your entire story is very inspiring and just there's so much there. It's so good.
ShawnaI'm so glad that you you're here to be able to share it because and I'm so glad you're um going to write a book because that needs to be, yeah, that needs to be in a book.
BrianSo I would love to ask you as you're with your experience through healthcare, and I love the meaning behind your breakthrough wellness. I I love that. I think that's a beautiful mission that you have there to prevent and reverse disease. That's powerful. Uh, I would love to ask you because like we've talked to other people too in different health environments, like health, what do you call it, health uh fields and stuff, professions, yeah, and health field health professions. So we've talked to others in health professions. So I would love to know from you when I ask you when I ask what does good health look like, or what does that represent? What would your answer be?
What Good Health Really Means
SPEAKER_00Okay, no one's ever actually asked me that. Well, I consider myself in good health. Um, but good health is not just the absence of disease and medications and everything. Um, health to me is body, mind, and spirit. And actually, it's part of my little slogan is um health, wealth, and freedom of body, mind, and spirit. Um, because it is all one. I mean, you can't have one without the other. I mean, uh first and foremost, spiritual health. Um, we have to guard our hearts, but we have to guard our minds. And in scripture, we need to be constantly renewed in our minds. And uh when when I came to the Lord, um that was one of the things uh that helped me the most, knowing that that I have to consciously make an effort to ask for that guidance for a renewal of my mind, my body, and my spirit, uh, especially my spirit while going through all the trials that I did. I actually did just share a little bit about my testimony right before my birthday on social media. Um, and I mean, I literally lost everything, you know, financially, and I didn't know the Lord yet. And I found myself pregnant um in trials and uh single mom and having um I ended up in a shelter, I ended up on the government system uh completely. I didn't even have any help at all. That's when I found God. I found God at my lowest possible point when I had nothing. And the one thing I learned to be um grateful for is just giving thanks and praise to God because I had my health and my son had his health. And if it wasn't for the the gift that I was given to pursue ultimate health and wellness, I don't think physically my son and I would have been here today. Um, I overcame uh what people would call a major mental breakdown when I was seven months pregnant. And I refused to go to the ER. I begged my friend that was I was trouble breathing on the floor when I found out some information. And um I I had to use every last skill I knew to get myself together and deliver this this boy healthy. So a lot of people don't know that part of the story. And then there'd been many times um after that. Well, if it wasn't for the church family that I had in in Kona, Hawaii, um uh I don't know where we would be. So to me, spiritual health is absolutely um very important, forgiveness and um dealing with these anger issues that I know that we all have. I mean, if you can't deal with your thoughts, and you know the thoughts come in, and sometimes they're just not very holy or very good at all, but you know that you can just simply ask for forgiveness and and be forgiven and move on. Um, so that first and foremost, um health physically, I think people need finances. So to me, physical health and financial health um are tied together because I know uh from being in the business, I know very, very wealthy people that could buy their health their way healthy. And no matter what I say, no matter what I do, uh they're unhealthy. They rather just be on meds or get the surgeries or do whatever and take a shortcut. Well, that's really sad to me. Then I know other people that want to get healthier, but they don't have the finances. So they put up a GoFundMe. And then uh that's another problem. But for people like myself who invest in their health before I had uh conscious God um in my life, um, I invested very heavily in my health. And so I can tell when look, I can tell by looking at someone, their health, by the investments that they make on their body, mind, and spirit. And to me, it's all one uh it's like one. It's like the trinity of health. Yeah. Oh, I like that feeling.
BrianThat's beautiful. Yeah, this is really good.
Glutathione And Cellular Detox Support
BrianSo, okay, so tell me, uh let's tell the listeners how can they learn more about what you're doing and how can they connect with you?
SPEAKER_00Oh, I would love that. I I personally uh have a calendar as well that I like to um do calls and ultimately zooms and see people um uh one-on-one. And it's it's easy. It's meetgene.com.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um meet j-e-a-n-n-e.com is is my calendar. And I would love to um basically this is part of my ministry. This is where I get to hear what have people have going on and possibly lead them into the right direction. And then my um breakthrough is new breakthrough.biz and that's B-I-Z. So new breakthrough.biz is a page that I put together with the breakthrough that I now have. It's a cellular breakthrough. Um, and that's what's different than anything else in the market is that now we have a technology to get directly into the cells and utilizing God's miracle molecule glutathione. And that is the missing link to your health, is the most important molecule. It's an antioxidant, it's a master antioxidant known for cellular protection and detoxification. So it basically combats all the three root causes of disease, and we have it. And nobody else in the global um world has it. So it's my now ministry and mission in life to bring this in the hands of every single person in the world because I know that I know what it can do. And if you knew what it could do, you wouldn't go a day without it. That's awesome.
ShawnaSo you pronounce your name Jean.
SPEAKER_00Um Jean, Jean or Jeannie.
ShawnaOkay, I was like, I've been saying the wrong name the whole time.
SPEAKER_00No, no, I I it's spelled J-E-A-N-N-E, but I I like Jeannie because it's a little bit more feminine. Yeah.
ShawnaI love it. Yeah, yeah. And that's what I yeah, that's what I thought.
SPEAKER_00That's what she told me.
ShawnaAnd I have three wishes, you know.
SPEAKER_01I can create three wishes.
ShawnaThat's great.
Vero Beach Routines And Local Spots
ShawnaSo we know that you love the water, and you've already shared that with us, but is there any other place that when you're not working, you like to go to un, you know, unwind or relax? Just about every day.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00So I I head to the beach. I like to walk on the beach. Uh, and now it the water's warm enough for me. So yeah, I can go in like I did earlier today. Um, so I love to the beaches here, absolutely beautiful. Um, there's this cute little Charles Park that I sometimes walk around. After I used to drop my son off from school, I would walk around there. Um, my friend has the Pilates studio, so I absolutely go to her. Um, I do the spinning studio that um so I I met a lot of wonderful ladies at the women's uh networking groups. So I love to support um people in our in our area. Oh yeah. And uh do you what um which spin studio is it? Oh, um the one on Eighth Street uh Resistance, okay. Danielle. I met Danielle and um I was just there today too. Oh I'm going to Pilates later with Tanya Vera Beach Pilates. Great, um, and she just moved location. So she uh it's a beautiful big location. And um, and then of course, my favorite fishing with Captain Mike. So I go, um, I went for my birthday, so I just I caught some um uh what did I get? Um I just forgot what I caught. Oh, snapper. I caught snapper for dinner tonight. Yeah, that's great. I love to dine, so I've already hit a a bunch of establishments. Um, I found this one Italian restaurant over on the beach. Um is it Francesca's? Um or the Ins of the P, I think. I just forgot the name of it. Ugh. I can't think of it. But I I I really like that place. Um and uh 21st Amendment, I love it down there. We love it there too. There's so many places I love to go out and eat and so forth. So in the Makiki Gardens. I went there several times. How fun! Isn't that a wonderful place tomorrow for breakfast or lunch or something?
BrianI don't know.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's such a great place. Oh, that's awesome. And then the riverside, yeah. I love it here.
ShawnaYeah, there's so much to do, isn't there? There's so much beauty and so many opportunities to get out in nature. Our parks are gorgeous. Yeah, we love it here too.
BrianYeah, you have to definitely go back and listen if anybody's like we have some of those people you mentioned have have actually been on the podcast. So 21st Amendment, which is a really great story. Yeah, I love I we love Vero Beach area. We absolutely love it. And the community here is just great, as you've already shared, some of the women never.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and I forgot my favorite too, Rio Coco Cafe. Yeah, I do both the one on 14th Street and the one by the airport. Yeah, how did I forget that? Yeah, I love having um things always come up later. Like, oh thinking about after we we cut our podcast. I'll be like, wait a second, I forgot about all these wonderful restaurants I've been to.
BrianAnd there's so many. It's that's what I absolutely love that about Vero. And now I mean, so you had been to Vero before though, like years ago. So back then, was it Vero Zero?
SPEAKER_00Because I we've heard that's well, no, actually, what Vero Vero brought me here is um my friend Tanya, who owns the Pilates studios, she actually moved from Fort Lauderdale. We had um, we used to share businesses, you know, like uh trade and so forth like that in Fort Lauderdale. And she moved up here, and then my business partner uh was born and raised in Vero. So I kept coming back and forth from Hawaii to here to do um health and medical shows and aesthetic shows. There's Florida is the hub for health and wellness and aesthetics and um biohacking. I mean, so I kept coming back and forth. I said, you know what, it's time to leave Hawaii, which I never thought I'd do. 15 years in Hawaii, and I it was really hard decision to lead, leave. Um, so I felt led by God to get back into the real world show, show my show my son what it's like. Of course, he he wants to go back to Hawaii. He does really it's really he was pretty much raised in Hawaii, so it's a little different. Um, but he likes Vero too. Okay. And we w came here so we could go to Vero Beach High School and experience that. Um, so we'll see.
BrianThat's cool. That's cool.
How To Connect With Jeanne
BrianWell, we're glad that you're here, and we're glad that we that we got to have you on the podcast as a guest. We've loved having you on. Uh, I would do love to ask uh a closing question before we wrap up. And uh so as we get ready to wrap up, I would love to know going back to your story, for anybody that's listening that might be going through trials right now, and maybe you're thinking like, you know, they don't know you know where like where their health is and what to go to next. What would you want to say to them?
Faith, Mentors, And Help In Trials
SPEAKER_00Well, the only thing that worked for me was seeking out God and um and Jesus and the peace that comes with that and and a church, a church family. Um I was raised Catholic and I had uh you know working knowledge of God and Jesus and I believed, but I really didn't know why I believed. I didn't really feel it. I didn't feel the spirit, I didn't like like religion kind of thing. But when I was at my absolute lowest point and I had nowhere to turn, I mean, I'm talking, I my son was maybe two, and I'm in a shelter that was mold infested. I had nothing, no money, no provisions, no friends. Um, and I walked into a church and the pastor and his wife, I sat down with them and I just told them my story, and I had nowhere to turn. And one thing after the other, he gave me um a little booklet. It was um, you know, who is God, who is Jesus, who is the Holy Spirit. You think it's novice, but while reading that for the first time, you know, just to try to connect the intellect, the mind with the spirit, because I think that's where people are disconnected. Yeah. Your mind, and I every day I sometimes work up, work up, um, thought, I wake up with thoughts of like fear or anxiety, and I quickly have to get into the word because it's in there, it's in the Bible, it's in the word. And sometimes when you're under so much duress, uh, you don't you can't even think. You just need someone to tell you what to do. And the church family, me, the church is the people. So those people prayed for me. They had a prayer line, and one miracle after another started happening. I didn't do anything. All I had to do was pray. I asked for forgiveness and just keep um asking God, help me, help me, Lord. People would show up. Someone showed up with a car, someone showed up with uh furniture. To we got into um a lottery, into a home. And that, you know, like I didn't even ask for this stuff. Wow. And just miracle after miracle came, but it didn't come until I was surrendered, until I really, really, and I didn't forgive yet. I was still angry. I had to get out of my mind. You have to get out of your mind, you have to get out of your head, and you have to get into faith. It's the only thing. And you need people to lead you like a mentor. And anything else, you need a mentor. For me, it was the pastor and a few people at the church. I mean, I read the books, you know, who's God, who's Jesus? And I read the scripture. I couldn't grasp a thing. I needed someone to just be there for me, a listening ear, and then to guide me and pray for me. And when people just pray for me, can I pray for you? How can I pray for you? I'd start crying every time. So I would say, humble yourself out and ask for help. Ask for help with the right people. Someone maybe in a church that you trust, someone that you know has strong faith, someone that you want to be like, that you want to be like free, you know. And that's really what it comes down to for me. That's good.
